The Lowery Family Heritage can be traced to the early 1800s in the indigenous Americas.
The Lowery Family Reunions began around 1978, through much of the effort of Annie Mae Lowery. The humble beginnings of the event that sought to bring together family through togetherness, love, and unity. Many family members will tell you about the wonderful experience of knowing the family history, started planning our family reunions around 1978. Donnie Lowery and family members, have been carrying the reunion torch for as long as he can remember and the family refers to him as the "Chairman" of the reunion committee.

Importance of Family
Connectedness and family play a pivotal role in shaping our identities and providing a sense of belonging. The bonds we share with our family members create a support system that is essential for emotional well-being. Family is not merely a biological connection; it is a source of strength, love, and understanding that accompanies us throughout our lives. The shared experiences, laughter, and even challenges contribute to the intricate tapestry of our lives. Through connectedness with our family, we find a refuge where we can celebrate successes, seek solace during difficulties, and forge enduring memories that become the foundation of our personal history.
Heritage and traditions further enrich the tapestry of family life by weaving a thread that connects us to our roots. Understanding and appreciating our cultural heritage instills a sense of pride and identity, fostering a deep appreciation for where we come from. Traditions, whether they involve festive celebrations, rituals, or shared stories, serve as the connective tissue across generations. They create a continuum that binds us to our heritage and offers a roadmap for future generations. In embracing and perpetuating these traditions, we not only honor our past but also provide a sense of stability and continuity for the family unit. The importance of connectedness, family, heritage, and traditions lies in their collective ability to cultivate a rich tapestry of shared experiences, values, and memories that endure through time, reinforcing the bonds that make a family resilient and vibrant.
