Zinnamon 'Donnie' Lowery, MA

Zinnamon 'Donnie' Lowery is the son of Annie Mae Lowery and the grandson of Ben & Mary Lizzy Jenkins Lowery. Donnie earned a Bachelor of Science from Morris College in Sumter, SC. Donnie has earned two master degrees from Webster University (Masters of Arts in Information Technology Management, and Master of Arts in Human Resource Management).

Donnie has served for over 22 years in three branches of the armed forces. Donnie served in the US Army 1973-1978, US Navy Reserve 1990-1993 and the US Air Force 1993-2006. On September 11, 2001, (9-11) Donnie was serving in in Saudi Arabia. After serving in the Army, Donnie served as a Firefighter with the Sumter Fire Department (1978-1990). Donnie started as a DJ in 1980 at The Big DM radio station and has continued in this music career to the present day. Donnie is known on the radio as the one and only 'Magic Man.'

Donnie's mother, Annie Mae, started planning the Lowery Family reunions around 1978. Donnie has been carrying the reunion torch for as long as he can remember and the family refers to him as the "Chairman" of the reunion committee. Donnie is the father of three adult children and grandfather of five. During Donnie's free time, he enjoys attending South Carolina State University Football games.
