Pr. Jermaine is delighted to help the committee plan for the upcoming 2025 Lowery Family Reunion. In the role Webmaster (of Lowery Family Heritage site), Pr. Jermaine helps to create a virtual anchoring space for the Lowery family to centralize communication, business, heritage, and information. In the role, Editor of Family Ties (Lowery Family Semi Annual Newsletter), Pr. Jermaine helps to bring stories and resources to the greater family and offer support.

About Pr. Jermaine

Pastor Jermaine Ossie Lowery, is the son of Minister Ossie Jr. (dec.) and Evangelist Belinda Lowery, grandson of Ossie Lowery Sr. and Pr. Susie Lowery, and the great grandson of William Lowery and Minnie Rivers, who are descendants of Rufus and Cecelia Lowery. Pr. Jermaine has three brothers (Desmond Belton, Pr. Jerome Lowery (twin brother), and Jeremiah Lowery), and 3 adopted siblings. Pr. Jermaine has three aunts, Apostle Dr. Susan Lowery, D.D.,DMin, Deaconess Karen Lowery Laws, Deneen Lowery Cooper (dec.). Pr. Jermaine resides in Fort Washington, MD.

Pr. Jermaine is an ordained senior pastor (and licensed) of Gilead Praise & Worship Center Incorporated located in Philadelphia, PA, where Apostle Dr. Susan Lowery, D.D., D.Min., is the overseer. Above all things, Pr. Jermaine loves to serve and help shepherd believers and non-believers in Jesus Christ to develop a better spiritual relationship. While at the University of Pittsburgh, Lowery was under the guidance of Ministers Robert and April Brooks while participating in Athletes in Action. Lowery also helped to lead two campus ministries: Ambassadors for Christ (for students) and Athletes in Action-University of Pittsburgh Chapter (for student athletes). Pr. Jermaine has been preaching and studying the word of God since the age of 8.

Pr. Jermaine is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Foundation for the Advancement of Human Systems. Pr. Jermaine is also project director for a public health development and training grant within a professional association for therapy. Pr. Jermaine is also a mentor and stout-hearted advocate for the development of indigenous populations' growth, he has a mandate to raise up entrepreneurs, businessmen and businesswoman, to become financially independent, excelling in the business realm. Pr. Jermaine has started four businesses and has a 6-week class for how to start a business or product from an idea. Pr. Jermaine is a national speaker in the areas of business and mental health services development.  Pr. Jermaine, as an author, has also published two books.

 

Pr. Jermaine has had formal training in the areas of Life Sciences, Sociology, and Public Health Management, Health Administration, Non-Profit Leadership, Grant Writing, Government and Grant Management, GAAP, Journalism, and Biblical studies. Pr. Jermaine has graduate degrees and post graduate work and certifications (Master Certificate in Federal Financial Management, Certified Non-Profit Leadership, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and Belonging), in the areas mentioned from various colleges: University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School-USADA, Indiana University, and Rutgers University-Camden.

Pr. Jermaine is also a former Elite Track athlete.  While at the University of Pittsburgh, Pr. Jermaine, was a team captain for the Men’s Track and Field team and broke many records in the sport. Pr. Jermaine made appearances at the 2012 USA Olympic Trials and several Team USA and NCAA National Championships. Pr. Jermaine has also been named to many All-Eastern teams and NCAA All-American teams, including Honorable Mention teams. Pr. Jermaine has been inducted into the Father Judge High School Hall of Fame (Philadelphia, PA).

Pr. Jermaine loves to garden and participate in water (surfing) and winter sports (skiing and snowboarding). Pr. Jermaine's immediate family plans a ski trip every year. Pr. Jermaine serves as Vice-President on a non-profit board for the Delaware Valley Girls Track Coaches Association (DVGTCA), and as the Head Photographer for the RunJuneteenth Marathon (Washington, DC). Lastly, Pr. Jermaine serves on the Coaches Helping Coaches Coach (CHCC) committee that provides a coaching conference and resources for high school and youth development coaches in athletics and track and field (Philadelphia Tri-State Area).
