About Sheryl
Sheryl 'Cookie' Matthis Gaskins is the oldest daughter of Mary Lowery Harvin, the granddaughter of Charlie (Coot) and Nettie Jackson Lowery and the great-granddaughter of Rufus and Cecelia Lowery. Sheryl's husband is Master Chief Eddie J. Gaskins (USN, Ret.). Eddie and Sheryl Gaskins are the parents of Ashley Gaskins Daniels (Isaac) and Amber Gaskins. Eddie and Sheryl Gaskins are the grandparents of Iyanna, Kayla and Kaylee Daniels.
Sheryl earned a BS at Morris College (Sumter, SC), and a masters degree at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Sheryl resides in Chesapeake, VA. Sheryl has had the pleasure of being a member of two previous family reunion planning committees, (Virginia 2010 and Virginia 2023).
